Roger Taylor’s Snare Drum and Drumsticks

Roger Taylor’s signed snare drum and drumsticks, exhibition display

A snare drum used in concert — and, as Roger notes himself in his own autograph on the drumhead, present on a number of the band’s biggest hits. It’s paired here with a set of his personal drumsticks, used through the 1980s.

Stage-used drum equipment rarely survives in this kind of condition; between touring wear and the sheer number of shows a drummer like Roger played over a career spanning decades, most kit gets replaced, damaged, or simply lost along the way. This piece is an exception, complete with Roger’s own handwritten confirmation of what it was used for.

This piece is part of “Keep On Rockin’ — the 2019 Exhibition.” See the full exhibition here.
